Abstract

Indonesia is the fourth largest coffee-producing and exporting country in the world after Brazil, Vietnam, and Colombia, and become one of the agricultural commodities that contribute to the Indonesian economy. Four types of coffee species are grown in Indonesian coffee plantations, namely Arabica, Robusta, Liberica, and Excelsa. However, it’s considered necessary to find the contribution of agroforestry and agroindustry of coffee in Indonesia in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Therefore, several things need to be identified in the scope of agroforestry and agroindustry of coffee, namely: (1) Total coffee production at the village level, against total coffee production at sub-district, district, province, country, and world levels; (2) Quality of coffee at village level against quality of coffee at sub-district, district, province, country, and world levels; and (3) Contribution of coffee in 17 goals of SDGs at village level against contribution of coffee at sub-district, district, province, country, and world levels. A significant contribution of this study is the ability to carry out further tests to determine the accelerating strategy of agroforestry and agroindustry of coffee in Indonesia in promoting the SDGs targets.
